Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, (currently OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to get a flawless score of 10 during the Olympic event. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci at the age of six. Later, she would become Romania's gymnastics instructor. In 1969, she participated at the Romanian Junior Olympics which she finished 13th. She took home the trophy in 1970. Her first competition in the international arena was in 1972, which was a pre Olympic junior meeting for communist countries she won three gold medals In 1973 and 1974, she won the all-around junior championship. She won four gold and one silver medals at the first competition of her senior level that took place in 1975. This was her first time she participated as an adult. She took home the American Cup in New York City in 1976. She was the first female to do backward double salto as a dismount from the uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she was performing on touring shows like Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6, 1942, on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol ventured into the entertainment business during her teens. Her first job was as a figure skater performing with her twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the show that was a traveling spectacle known as Ice Capades. They featured ice-skating shows that included staged performances.
